Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 7, 2026

SheetGrab is a Chrome extension that copies details from the web page you're viewing (for example a job title, company, deadline and link) into a Google Sheet that you choose. This policy explains what data SheetGrab touches and where it goes. In short: your data goes only from your browser to your own Google Sheet. SheetGrab has no servers and collects nothing.

Where your data goes

Google account access

SheetGrab asks for the Google permission https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets ("See, edit, create and delete your Google Sheets spreadsheets"). Google requires this permission to read headers and append rows. SheetGrab only uses it on the single spreadsheet you configure, and only to do the things described above. Sign-in is handled by Chrome's built-in Google sign-in. The access token is managed by Chrome and is never sent anywhere except to Google's APIs.

SheetGrab's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What SheetGrab stores

Your settings (spreadsheet ID and name, tab name, and your column-to-rule mapping) are saved with Chrome's chrome.storage.sync, so they follow you across browsers where you're signed in to Chrome. Page content is not stored by the extension. Once a row is saved, it lives only in your Google Sheet.

Your choices

Children

SheetGrab is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
